Woden Dala Horse "Play Sand Horse"

First "Play Sand Horse" (curious Leksands horse) was made in 1948. The pattern originally comes from wallpaper, inspired by "Solomos dom" by Winter Karl Hanssin Yttermo (1777-1805). Nowadays, this unique and elegant Dala horse is produced in 3 different colors: Yellow, Orange, and Blue. Handcrafted and hand-painted in Sweden.

Dala horse is a traditional carved, painted wooden statue of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. In the old days, it was mostly used as a toy for children, while in modern times, it has become a symbol of Dalarna, as well as of Sweden in general.
